HOW DOES TRAFFIC FILM REMOVER WORK?

Traffic Film Removers (TFR) are designed to remove road traffic film (hence the name TRAFFIC FILM remover...this is the fine film of  grease and grime created by dirt, oil / fuel on the tarmac road surface) from the exterior of vehicles.

Unlike many domestic Vehicle Cleaning Products, Commercial Strength Traffic Film Removers are usually

manufactured using a blend of Surfactants.

WHAT ARE SURFACTANTS?

A shortened form of "surface-active agent", a surfactant is a chemical that stabilizes mixtures of oil and water by reducing the surface tension at the interface between the oil and water molecules. Because water and oil do not dissolve in each other a surfactant has to be added to the mixture to keep it from separating into layers.
